Position Summary
MINAMI YALETOWN is looking for a Sushi Line Cook to support daily sushi production
while maintaining high standards of quality, freshness, and food safety. This role is ideal for a
skilled, detail-oriented sushi cook with a strong foundation in sushi preparation who thrives in a
fast-paced environment and works well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
● Prepare sushi items including rolls, maki, oshi according to established
standards
● Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper food handling at the sushi station
● Monitor product freshness, labeling, and rotation
● Assist with inventory organization and ordering, or learn ordering procedures as required
● Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
● Support opening, service, and closing duties at the sushi station
● Lift, move, and organize products and supplies up to 40 lbs
● Stand for extended periods (6–8 hours) during shifts
Qualifications & Experience
● Minimum 1 years of sushi experience
● Experience with rolls, maki, oshi
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
● Food Safe certification is an asset
● Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for 6–8 hours
● BOH experience is preferred
