Job Description

We are looking for a Server for a well-established Italian restaurant, located in a busy downtown location for 2-4 shifts per week.

You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you and would welcome you joining our team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages on days there are no bartender.
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Inventory

Requirements and skills

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Server
• Some knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the work place organized, stocked and clean
• Serving experience
• Serve it Right Certificate
• Work as a team, helping the collegues
• Toast POS knowledge is an asset
