Morning Brunch/Lunch Bartender/Barista – The Sequel Restaurant & Kitchen
As the sister restaurant to the highly successful The Story Cafe in Richmond, The Sequel brings the same commitment to high-quality cuisine and exceptional service in a fast-paced, casual fine dining environment in the heart of Coal Harbour.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Bartender/Barista with a passion for hospitality and mixology to join our team. If you thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy connecting with guests, and take pride in crafting exceptional drinks, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences
Craft signature cocktails and seasonal drink menu items with creativity and attention to detail
Provide exceptional guest service and build relationships with regular and new guests
Manage a fast-paced bar environment while maintaining accuracy and quality
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including liquor storage, garnishes, glassware, and tools
Ensure compliance with liquor laws and responsible service practices
Assist with inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation
Keep the bar fully stocked and organized throughout service
Collaborate with servers, barbacks, and management to ensure smooth operations
Assist with training new bar staff when required
Requirements
Ability to work 8:00 AM shifts
2–3 years of bartending experience, preferably in a high-volume or upscale restaurant/bar
Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, modern mixology techniques, and craft cocktail trends
Proficiency with bar tools and equipment (shakers, strainers, muddlers, jiggers, etc.)
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling
Valid Serving It Right certification
Strong attention to detail and passion for beverage craftsmanship
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with craft cocktail programs or seasonal menus
Knowledge of wine and beer styles
Experience in high-volume bar environments

Part-time / Full-time
Expected hours: 20–40 hours per week
