About The Sequel – Restaurant and Kitchen
Nestled among Coal Harbour’s iconic attractions, shopping destinations, and a vibrant office and condo community, The Sequel is poised to become a culinary gem. As the sister restaurant to the highly successful The Story Café in Richmond, The Sequel brings the same commitment to high-quality food and exceptional service in a fast-paced, casual fine dining atmosphere.
We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual with a passion for hospitality and a collaborative spirit to join our team. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and are dedicated to delivering outstanding guest experiences, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
Shifts include a mix of mornings (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and evenings (4:00 PM – close)
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
Serve food and beverages with attention to detail and presentation
Set up and clean dining areas before, during, and after service
Use POS system to process orders, handle cash, and manage card transactions
Perform basic cash-out duties, ensuring accuracy
Answer phones and take take-out orders via phone or delivery apps
Manage tablet system for walk-in and reservation seating
Greet, seat, and engage customers to ensure a positive dining experience
Assist with general restaurant operations and collaborate with the team to maintain high service standards
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of professional serving experience
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask in a busy environment
Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures is a plus
Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident preferred; work permit holders considered
Must be able to commit to at least 6 months
Intermediate wine knowledge; WSET certification is an asset

Nestled among breathtaking tourist attractions, shopping destinations, and a bustling community of offices and condos, our restaurant is set to become a culinary gem in the area.
As the sister restaurant to the highly successful The Story Cafe in Richmond, The Sequel brings the same commitment to high-quality food and exceptional service in a fast-paced, fine dining atmosphere.
