The Keefer Bar is hiring for a part time prep and service cook to begin immediately. We are looking for someone with a passion for food who would further like to develop their on the job education and experience. Candidates must be comfortable with and responsible enough to work with minimal supervision. Minimum one year experience in previous kitchen roles is required, however those that feel like they are still learning the fundamentals of the culinary world are welcome to apply.
Basic job information includes:
Five days a week, Tuesday to Saturday
Most shifts will be evening service shifts, with the occasional prep shift as well
$20 an hour plus weekly tip out. (usually around $250 - $300 a week)
Responsibilities include:
Proper and safe operation of kitchen steamer and oven
Preparation of all dishes as ordered on the menu to the kitchen manager's standards
Prepping ingredients for all dishes
Washing dishes Maintaining a clean kitchen and dish space before and during service
Efficiently communicating with other team members in a clear and respectful manner
