Kitchen Leader – New Restaurant Opening
Davie Social is a contemporary Mexican–Canadian fusion restaurant opening in Vancouver’s West End. We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Leader to join our opening leadership team and support day-to-day kitchen operations, standards, and team development.
Location
1202 Davie Street, Vancouver, BC
Pay
$21–$24 per hour, based on experience + tips
Start Date
February (opening team)
Responsibilities
Lead and support line cooks during service
Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
Assist with prep planning, station organization, and service flow
Train, mentor, and support kitchen team members
Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and health compliance
Communicate effectively with Chef and management
Step in as a working leader during peak service periods
Qualifications
Previous experience as a lead line cook or kitchen supervisor
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
Flexible availability (evenings, weekends, holidays)
Food Safe Level 1 required
Opening experience is an asset
