Job Description

As Technical Account Manager your top priority is to build strong and trusting relationships with our clients.


The Technical Account Manager works with Account Directors to own client relationships and act as the primary intermediary between Noise and our technology-focused clients. With a strong understanding of marketing technologies and analytics, this role will strategically manage multiple client relationships, drive revenue growth, and ensure the successful delivery of projects. Additionally, this role will be responsible for collaborating with clients’ product teams to translate their needs into technical solutions for our internal analytics teams. The Technical Account Manager will work closely with internal teams to manage project deliverables, communicate effectively with clients, and optimize budgets to maximize client ROI.


Duties and Responsibilities


Accounts / Client Relationship(estimated time spent: 70%)

  • Acts as the key point of contact for owned client relationships with our technology-focused accounts and has a strong understanding of their brand and market sector.
  • Strategically plans and manages assigned client portfolio, leveraging resources from the strategy, media and analytics teams when required to add value to the relationship. Drives development of and assists in executing account plans.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of marketing technologies, data platforms, analytics tools, and digital marketing metrics. Bridges the gap between internal technical teams and clients.
  • Looks for opportunities to cross-sell / up-sell Noise technology-focused services to increase revenue streams for the business and maximize the value delivered to our clients to help deepen our relationships.
  • Receives, qualifies, and responds to client briefs, developing approach plans, cost estimates and Scopes of Work.
  • Maintains and builds the client relationship, establishing trust and respect with client partners.
  • Champions the client to internal teams, and Noise to client teams.
  • Documents all client and partner agency interactions and records all information needed to manage client relationships.
  • Coordinates and leads status meetings with clients and agency partners during projects and communicates progress and deadlines to clients on a regular basis.
  • Present work to client throughout the delivery process and articulates rationale and strategy against the goals set out. Responsible for the documentation and communication of all client and partner agency interactions as required by the client relationship.
  • Resolves client and partner agency execution questions/problems. Proactively identify and address technical challenges, collaborating with internal technical teams to ensure the issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Contributes insights into current strategy, media plans, and consumer and channel trends to agency and clients.
  • Champions the quality and accuracy of all agency outputs to client by reviewing and auditing major client deliverables, checking for brand consistency and overall quality.
  • Seeks to remain up to date on industry trends within the Data and Technology space and is passionate about exploring leading-edge technologies with client teams.


Project Management (estimated time spent: 20%)

Collaborate with the Technology Project Manager(s) to:

  • Perform risk analysis, develop contingency plans, and gather data from teams to proactively raise prioritization and scheduling trade-off decisions.
  • Works with internal teams to manage deliverables through each stage of work.
  • Collaborates with all internal departments on key projects and processes.
  • Maintains project briefs and schedules, internal and external status reports, risk and issue logs.
  • Manage and own the project folder structure, as well as all project documentation.
  • Support the Client Services team to continually improve and document processes.
  • Manages external communication of project deliverables and status to client.
  • Cultivates positive habits with team members to improve communication and ownership.
  • Analyze project health metrics (burn rates, percentage complete, resource management) to ensure profitability and course correction of overburn, where relevant


Finance / Administration (estimated time spent: 10%)

  • Collaborate with clients on budget planning and forecasting based on their needs from Noise. Manage internal timesheets, forecasts, and budgets related to your accounts.
  • Ensure that clients are maximizing the value of their investment while identifying ways in which to increase efficiency and profitability for Noise.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working in highly collaborative account management or product management role, with a focus on analytics – preferably from a digital, marketing or advertising agency.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, marketing, computer science, analytics, engineering), of equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical competency, with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts. Candidates with experience with customer data platforms, data integration, database management, and/or data security, will be prioritized.
  • Experience in the analytics industry, demonstrating a solid understanding of data analysis, visualization, and related tools.
  • Experience working with multi-year projects helping to drive long-term growth and establishing trusted partnerships.
  • Intermediate knowledge of media specific terminology and digital metrics, corresponding data, and their implication on planning efforts.
  • Fiscal management skills within the context of client projects and campaigns, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
  • Proactively initiates, develops, and maintains effective and cooperative relationships with a wide array of personalities and team members. Displays conscientiousness and service towards others.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.

The compensation for this role ranges from $70,000-$80,000 CAD annually
