Our client, a global leading engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Study Manager (Minerals and Metals). The role consists of 70% hands-on work, 30% leading work.
About The Role:
As the Study Manager,As a Study Manager, you oversee the early phases of project development in the mining resources sector, supporting our business development initiatives aimed at enhancing our regional presence as a leader in Minerals and Metals. Your responsibilities include:
Supervising the execution of PEA and PFS level studies, scoping studies, and technical updates, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and project objectives.
Assisting in formulating project strategy, monitoring critical path schedules, and supervising deliverables.
Establishing and nurturing collaborative relationships with management, clients, team members, and stakeholders. Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering efforts to ensure timely preparation, evaluation, and delivery of project deliverables.
Addressing and communicating study and project risks to relevant stakeholders.
Monitoring project cost, progress, and schedule reports, and implementing corrective measures when necessary.
Overseeing the development of project capex models and financial models to support client projects.
Leading the preparation of regulatory documentation such as NI 43-101 reporting.
Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the Studies Team by leveraging industry knowledge and past experience to deliver optimal solutions.
Qualifications:
Relevant experience in the mining and metals, oil and gas, industrial, energy, and/or utilities sectors.
Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Prior involvement with client or Owner's teams, EPC/EPCM projects, or mining facility operations is advantageous.
Past experience in roles such as Study Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Lead Discipline Engineer in the Mining & Metals industry is preferred.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, adept at managing client relationships. Willingness to travel as needed.
