Job Description

St. Paul’s Foundation is seeking a Manager, Communications


To be an integral part of an established, respected non-profit on the cusp of opening an incredible new hospital, research complex, and health campus. The Manager, Communications will join a small but mighty team committed to delivering high quality products and services.

  • Please note: This role is full time, 18-month maternity leave contract.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Development and Donor Relations & Stewardship teams, write, edit, and project manage a wide range of materials.
  • Oversee the editorial direction and production of the annual Promise magazine, seek opportunity for further reach of this magazine.
  • Produce, promote and expand the Foundation’s Connect quarterly e-newsletter as well as grow the subscriber list through owned, earned and paid digital channels.
  • Develop the Foundation’s content strategy through leading bi-annual review of analytics and KPI’s and lead brainstorm sessions plus oversee and support execution.
  • Lead social media reports and review of analytics and KPIs to strategically plan and optimize organic and paid content, as well as supporting execution of content on various channels.
  • Develop strategic comprehensive advertising campaigns that enhance awareness, increase retention, or grow conversion to meet the Foundation’s overall marketing objectives.
  • Work with internal teams and external service providers such as graphic designers, printers, and freelance writers to produce print and digital materials.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Journalism, or relevant field.
  • Six or more years of progressively senior communications and or marketing experience, preferably in a non-profit or agency environment.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with colleagues and external partners.
  • Stellar writing and editing skills, preferably in a fundraising context.
  • Strong experience in digital marketing including SEM, SEO, email, paid display, retargeting.
  • Relevant experience developing and implementing content strategy and social media strategy.
  • Strong proficiency in project management and proven ability to manage timelines and budgets.
  • Experience managing direct reports.
  • Experience using a CMS (preferably WordPress), social media scheduling software, and other e-tools is preferred including Lucidpress, Luminate, Raiser’s Edge.
