Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is designed as an entry point into our culinary team, with a clear opportunity to grow into a Line Cook role based on performance, skill development, and commitment.

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and supporting the culinary team to ensure efficient kitchen operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards

• Wash, chop, slice, and measure food items accurately

• Label and store ingredients properly following food safety standards

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, equipment, and storage

• Assist line cooks during service as needed

• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

• Communicate inventory shortages or product concerns to kitchen leadership

• Learn station setup and cooking techniques in preparation for advancement

Qualifications:

• Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred but not required

• Basic understanding of food safety practices

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Team-oriented with a positive attitude

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs

• Interest in advancing to a Line Cook position
