The Modern Pantry in West Van is looking to fill a cook role. DAYTIME HOURS!! Shifts are 7:30-3:30
The ideal candidate has minimum 2 years kitchen experience and thrives on working quickly under pressure and executing to a high standard.
The role requires inventory management, stock rotation, and daily ordering.
Everything is made in house. The team is hard working and lovely to be around. And we have a really good time while putting out a really good product.
Requirements:

FoodSafe Level 1 or greater
Teamwork skills
Excellent communication
Availability a minimum of 1 weekend day per week

We make EVERYTHING from scratch so our retail freezer is full of bake from frozen pastries as well as soups and meals. And the shelves are lined with our house made crackers, granola, jams, and more.
We use the space to bring people together, so whether that's over a cup of coffee or taking a cooking class in the evening there's always a way to connect. We also rent out the space for private events and offer a catering service, so there are always opportunities for working in a new environment with different projects.
