In very welcome news, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced that as of Wednesday, June 24, the City of Toronto and the Peel region will enter Stage 2 of the provincial reopening plan.
This means that restaurants, bars, hair and nail salons, shopping malls, and other public places may resume service with limitations.
Restaurants and bars may open service for outdoor spaces only such as patios, parking lots and adjacent premises while ensuring that two meters of physical space exist between patrons of different groups.
See you on the patio!
The eight week extension of the program will provide much-needed relief to those who lost their jobs as a result of the pandemic.
The BC government has just approved new wholesale pricing to allow restaurants and bars to purchase alcohol at reduced cost.
Provided patrons can still maintain two metres apart, restaurants may now allow more than 50% of their pre-COVID capacity.
