On June 28, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a food recall warning for Fresh Express brand salad products containing iceberg lettuce, carrots and red cabbage.
These products were distributed across Canada and their lot code begins with “Z177” or a lower number. The products' best before dates are up to and including "20JUL08 - 20JUL14."
Consumers, retailers, and food service establishments are advised not to eat, sell or serve the recalled products; instead, they are advised to return them to the store at which they were purchased.
