Bar Manager | Mount Pleasant Vintage & Provisions Vancouver, BC
We are seeking a systems-oriented, high-energy Bar Manager to lead daily operations at Mount Pleasant Vintage & Provisions Vancouver. You will be responsible for turning creative vision into flawless service, maintaining financial controls, and fostering a world-class team culture.

Roles & Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage the full employee lifecycle—hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management. Conduct regular bar staff meetings and foster a culture of education and community.
Financial & Inventory Management: Lead inventory, ordering, and receiving. Maintain cost and variance control to ensure the bar hits its budgetary targets.
Operational Excellence: Oversee all bar checklists, prep management, and opening/transition/closing standards. Ensure the bar design and functionality are optimized for service.
Facility Stewardship: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization for both the bar and all storage areas.
Logistics: Manage inventory and/or maintenance of glassware, bar tools, and bar equipment.
Service Execution: Uphold exacting drink standards and service protocols. Coordinate with Head Office to execute local and corporate marketing activations, events, and buyout requests.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 2+ years in a Bar Management role in a similar style establishment.
Operational Excellence: Proven track record of managing COGS, labor costs, and complex inventory systems.
Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor a diverse team and maintain high morale under pressure.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of cocktails, wine, beer, bar prep, batching systems, bar equipment, and the logistics of a high-volume cocktail program.
Logistics: A valid Class V Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle are required for essential off-site errands and product procurement.
Communication: Strong organizational and administrative skills.
