We are seeking dynamic, experienced Bartenders to join the bar team at The Powder Room on Yorkville — a curated nightlife destination where high fashion, luxury mixology, and the energy of Toronto’s elite social scene come together.
As a key part of our launch, you'll help shape a sophisticated guest experience from day one. We're looking for versatile hospitality professionals with a passion for craft cocktails, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, upscale environment. Precision, and attention to detail are essential as we bring this unique concept to life.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve guests in full compliance with Ontario’s Liquor License Act and Smart Serve guidelines.
• Deliver exceptional service with professionalism, efficiency, and warmth.
• Prepare all drink orders from servers and guests accurately and promptly.
• Keep the bar fully stocked and organized by coordinating with barbacks (glassware, garnishes, condiments, bar tools, and product).
• Execute all opening and closing duties according to shift procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing bar at all times.
• Foster a safe and responsible drinking environment.
• Support the team with additional duties as directed by management.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume or upscale restaurant/bar.
• Smart Serve Certified (or willing to obtain prior to start).
• A genuine passion for hospitality, cocktails, and creating memorable experiences.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and stay composed under pressure.
• Professional demeanor with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable handling cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Health & safety conscious with a commitment to a safe work environment.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
