We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Bar back to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced bar environment. The Bar back plays a crucial role in supporting bartenders and ensuring that the bar operates smoothly. This position requires a passion for the hospitality and beverage industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. The role will involve evening shifts on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays- therefore it is important to be be consistently available those nights. Initial training shifts may include other days of the week.
Duties:
-Assist bartenders in preparing drinks and serving customers promptly.
-Prep garnishes for drinks as ordered to assist bartenders
-Stock and replenish bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
-Stock ice and remove empty bottles in a timely manner during service
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
-Handle cash transactions accurately and assist with cash handling duties as needed.
-Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management.
-Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons and ensuring their needs are met.
-Support food service operations by assisting with food handling when necessary.
-Follow all health and safety regulations in accordance with food handling standards.
Skills:
-Experience in food service or hospitality is preferred.
-Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.
-Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
-Knowledge of bartending techniques is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
-Familiarity with bar operations and food industry standards.
-Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
