33 Acres Supervisor Role
The supervisor position encompasses 33 Acres Brewing Company & 33 Brewing Experiment’s daily floor operations, AM or PM, and foh staff management. This role includes ensuring the staff have all of the tools and materials needed for the FOH to operate at the highest standards daily, including but not limited to; maintaining workflow (breaks, cuts) , maintaining overall appearance of taprooms, staff are informed of new products or changes in operations, daily tasks are completed, are the lead example of customer service, develop and train staff, implement and maintain policies and procedures, manage guests expectations in a professional manner.
The supervisor should be present on site to motivate staff through hands on action. Be able to delegate and communicate to staff priorities and goals that are focused on making a better experience for the guest. Be committed to ensuring that staff are trained and confident in their abilities to carry out their tasks. That staff feel empowered to make decisions that will benefit the business and feel part of a team that is working towards the same goal. The individual should exude calm and collectedness even at the most stressful of times. Will always conduct themselves in a professional manner and treat everyone with respect. Takes ownership of the environment and responsibility of the staff they are overseeing.
role responsibilities:
Labour Management
• Communicate to the GM any scheduling needs or overtures
• Watching hours for overtime
• Make sure service staff are trained and customer focused
• Ensure that staff are following all food, drink and safety policies
• Nightly reconciliation of time punches
Service Standards
• Work with ownership and management to develop and implement systems that will improve service
• Takes ownership of the environment and staff
• Maintain service standards
• Ensure quality and consistency is upkept.
• All transactions are completed properly
• Ensure the all checklists are completed in a timely manner
• Floor coverage is adequate for volume of sales
• Staff are properly dressed and ready to work
• Any staffing issues are remedied and relayed to the GM
• Closing cash routine
• Building(s) are locked and secure at the end of the day
• Printing/editing Flight sheets
• Editing/updating QR Menu
Cleanliness Standards
• Keep taprooms and common areas clean
• Guest bathrooms are clean and stocked
• Mezzanine(s) is clean and tidy
• Kitchen is properly closed and cleaned
Inventory
• Keep retail items stocked
• Keep grab and go items stocked
• Keep glassware and related bar products stocked
• Inform the GM of any dry goods items that are running low
• Relay to the GM any feedback from guests in regards to pricing or quality
Staff Meetings
• Bi-Weekly management meetings
• Monthly staff meetings
