The Engineering Manager oversees all plant engineering, capital projects, equipment improvements, and Project Engineers while maintaining and upholding all safety and OHS guidelines.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee activities of, coach and mentor the Project Engineering team.
• Manage capital projects, equipment improvements, and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Provide direction for long-term planning for site assets.
• Develop and manage overhead and capital budgets.
• Work with the Reliability Manager to assist maintenance through capital projects and/or equipment upgrades.
• Contribute to and lead initiatives for cost reduction, safety, employee engagement, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with corporate project engineering departments and other site departments to ensure consistency in project execution and solutions.
• Collaborate with equipment vendors, engineering consultants, and contractors to deliver projects and solutions.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• P.Eng designation or working towards.
• Experience managing engineering projects.
