Job Summary:
We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Servers to join our esteemed team at Piva Modern Italian.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, arefined demeanor, and a deep understanding of fine dining etiquette. This role requires a passion for providing personalized service and exceeding guest expectations in a sophisticated and demanding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Guest Service Excellence:o Greet guests warmly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming and memorable first impression.
- Guide guests to their tables and present menus, offering insightful and personalized recommendations based on their preferences.
- Take accurate and detailed orders, ensuring all requests and dietary restrictions are communicated clearly to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages with grace and precision, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
- Anticipate guest needs proactively, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
- Address any guest concerns or issues promptly and discreetly, striving for complete guest satisfaction.
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with regular guests.
- Wine & Beverage Service:o Possess in-depth knowledge of Italian wines, spirits, and cocktails.
- Recommend appropriate wine pairings based on guest preferences and menu selections.
- Perform professional wine service, including decanting, aerating, and serving.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service and adhere to all relevant regulations.
Restaurant Operations:
- Collaborate effectively with the kitchen staff, sommeliers, and other service staff to ensure seamless and efficient service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Assist with table setting and resetting, ensuring tables are impeccably presented for each guest.
- Utilize the restaurant's point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with other duties as assigned, such as assisting with special events and banquet service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Server in a fine dining restaurant setting is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine and wine is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a refined and professional demeanor.
- Strong customer service orientation with a genuine passion for exceeding guest expectations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
