The Sequel - Restaurant and Kitchen is located in the vibrant neighborhood of Coal Harbour Downtown. Nestled among breathtaking tourist attractions, shopping destinations, and a bustling community of offices and condos, our restaurant is set to become a culinary gem in the area.
As the sister restaurant to the highly successful The Story Cafe in Richmond, The Sequel brings the same commitment to high-quality food and exceptional service in a fast-paced, casual fine dining atmosphere. We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual with a passion for hospitality and a collaborative spirit to join our team.

The Sequel provides group benefits to every employee. This covers life insurance, accidental insurance, dental, vision, medicines, massage, different therapies and more as well as covering their family to allow employees to work in a "worry free" work environment.
Other than group benefits, each employee will receive tips, and be provided a staff meal, coffee, and drinks during their shift.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the reservation system, managing calls for reservations and take-outs, and efficiently assigning tables to optimize turnover.
- Operate the POS system accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and stations.
- Maintain a tidy and organized restaurant environment.
- Collaborate with service teams to guarantee an exceptional dining experience for all guests.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding any issues or complaints, striving for prompt resolution.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the restaurant, along with any additional tasks assigned by management.
REQUIREMENT:
- At least 2 years of hostessing experience, fine dine experience is an asset
- Serving it right
- Able to work in a busy, fast paced environment
- Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident preferred, if work permit - must be able to work more than 6 months
- Basic knowledge of our menu (not required but will be helpful)
Job Types: Part-time / Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $17.40 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week, weekend availability is a must
