Pastry Chef – Dope Bakehouse (Flagship / HQ – North Vancouver)
Dope Bakehouse is looking for a passionate, detail-obsessed pastry chef to join our flagship location in North Van — a brand new creative space built for those who love butter, precision, and the kind of craft that makes people stop mid-bite.
Whether you’ve been laminating dough for years or you’re early in your pastry journey and hungry to level up, we want to hear from you.
About Us
Dope Bakehouse is powered by a crew of bakers, pastry cooks, baristas, and hospitality pros who give a damn — about quality, about community, and about building something with heart.
This is our HQ.
Our test kitchen.
Our creative lab.
Our home base where we push boundaries, chase flavour, and keep raising the bar for what a modern bakery can be.
We’re not just baking pastries.
We’re building culture — and a workplace where curious, driven people can grow, explore, and do the best work of their careers.
What We’re Looking For
✱ Craft-Driven Minds — You take pride in technique, consistency, and doing things the right way, even when no one’s watching.
✱ Detail Lovers — Scaling, shaping, timing, texture — the small things matter to you.
✱ Team Players — You move with intention, communicate well, and support the crew around you.
✱ Humble Energies — No ego. Just good vibes, hard work, and a willingness to learn and teach.
✱ Curiosity Always — You’re excited to expand your skills and help us build out the pastry program from the ground up.
The Role
• Execute daily production — including viennoiserie, pastries, doughs, fillings, and finishing — with consistency and care.
• Maintain a clean, efficient, organized station (and kitchen) at all times.
• Follow recipes and production schedules while hitting quality standards.
• Support pastry operations from prep through service.
• Bring a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset to a growing team.
If You’re Into…
Creating delicious things from scratch.
Being part of a tight, supportive team
Building something special in a neighbourhood we love.
Working in a space filled with good people, good energy, and ridiculous baked goods…
Then we want to meet you.
Let’s build something dope — together.
Nemesis is a hospitality driven, specialty coffee company composed of highly dedicated baristas, chefs, and creatives. We utilise our pursuits of passion, and the spaces we explore them in as our catalyst to build community and create culture.
Created from humble beginnings, Nemesis set out with a simple yet daring vision: to re-imagine and redefine the meaning of coffee culture in Vancouver and beyond by harmoniously intertwining hospitality, specialty coffee, culinary excellence, design and the arts.
The word “Nemesis” perfectly captures our essence, our against the grain mentality, our need to express individuality, and our constant hunger to push the boundaries of coffee culture.
We wanted to take the power out of the word and give it new meaning; to remove any negative connotations and turn it into something that is authentically us. The inverted heart was a creation derived from love, the deep appreciation for our community, and our want to define our purpose within them. A symbol we can make with our hands, a gesture that can be expressed universally to embody these sentiments.
