POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are currently looking for a person to fill the permanent full-time position as maintenance manager for La Résidence Château Baie-Comeau.

The maintenance manager is responsible for coordinating the activities of the housekeeping attendants, managing requisitions and ensuring the guarding of the buildings at all times. He carries out various work related to the maintenance of the building and the management of maintenance and renovation projects.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administration

• Provide a high level of customer service
• Act as coordinator for special projects
• Maintain good relationships with the residents
• Order materials for the construction and / or renovation of structures on the property
• Responsible for all purchases related to maintenance
• Responsible for managing the purchase of products and materials as proscribed in the budget

Construction

• All other related tasks
• Be available to respond to emergencies
• Maintenance and monitoring of equipment (mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, pumps, furnaces, valves, etc.)
• Manage apartment renovations in accordance with the program established by general management/the general manager
• Organise or perform all other related tasks regarding the maintenance department, as required and as requested by the immediate superior
• Supervise the maintenance of the equipment

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma (SSD)
• Professional training in general building maintenance (an asset)
