Can't wait to see you here!We are looking for experienced FULL-time Cafe Manager.Our hours of Operation: Mon - Fri: 7.30am – 5pm/ Sat - Sun: 8.00am – 5pmA cafe Manager at “Gigli Caffè” is a “STAR” creating a welcome and fun vibe and impeccable service. As uniform, you will wear a wooden bowtie provided by us that you will absolutely love it!A Barista will serve specialty hot and cold beverages and food like sandwich, pastries, salad or gelato. A Barista is knowledgeable about all the menu items, provides high-quality, fast-paced service and is able to work at multiple QSR counters performing various functions.Responsibilities:· Our Coffee Shop is located at 399 Jane Street and are looking for co-operative team players, who are dynamic and can adjust to workflow as it happens.Be on time!Manage day-to-day operations of the cafeHire and onboard new wait staff and baristasTrain employees on drinks preparation and proper use of coffee equipmentCoordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed (like takeaway cups, coffee, milk and other ingredients)Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expensesAdd new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferencesAdvise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer serviceEnsure all cafe areas are clean and tidyNurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputationbe able to serve Coffee, Pastries, Sandwiches, Salad, Gelatin etc. Be able to multitask, take orders/deliver food to tables (if needed) and able to prioritize.Sets up stations and replenishes displays neatly including separation of allergens (nuts, wheat, etc.)Ensures all items are dated and following First in First Out (FIFO) standardsCleans and sanitizes work areas in accordance with supervising health agency of the area and maintain store stock, including retail items, cups, pastry and coffee ingredients, etc.Care for facility and company assets and machines maintenanceNeat and clean appearanceReporting any issue to the owner in a timely mannerPerforms other duties as required or assignedHaving a Food Handlers CertificateQualifications3+ year barista experience on a manual espresso machine preferredKnowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea, drink preparation and food productsOutstanding communication and guest service skillsAbility to perform simple mathematical calculations and follow directions for all productionHigh school diploma preferredJob RequirementsAvailability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including early mornings, afternoon and weekendsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squattingAbility to operate equipment such as manual espresso machine, ovens, drink blender, juicer and Point of SaleFluent in English and Italian (preferred)If you are who we are looking for, please apply or send us your CV or if you know someone who might be interested in, please share this post with them!We'd like to inform that only qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $16.50-$18.00 per hourBenefits:Discounted or free foodSchedule:Day shiftEvery WeekendMonday to FridayMorning shiftWeekends as neededSupplemental pay types:TipsApplication question(s):Are you legally authorized to work in Canada?Experience:Barista: 3 years (required)Language:Italian (preferred)Work Location: In person
