The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and supporting the culinary team to ensure efficient kitchen operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards
Wash, chop, slice, and measure food items accurately
Label and store ingredients properly following food safety standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, equipment, and storage
Assist line cooks during service as needed
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Communicate inventory shortages or product concerns to kitchen leadership
Learn station setup and cooking techniques in preparation for advancement
Qualifications:
Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred but not required
Basic understanding of food safety practices
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Interest in advancing to a Line Cook position
