Our client, a leading Toronto law firm is hiring a Litigation Assistant. The firm offers a competitive salary based on experience and an excellent benefits package.

Duties & Responsibilities :
- Manage electronic organization of all correspondence documents in document management system;
- Open/ close / maintain legal files;
- Liaising with Billing Coordinators for the monthly production of accounts;
- Draft routine correspondence;
- Preparing and maintaining a bring-forward system;
- Prepare legal documents and court materials,
- Schedule appointments and web meetings, conference calls and manage calendars for lawyers;
- Maintain electronic filing system; and
- Any other duties as may be required.
Requirements:
- Law Clerk or Legal Assistant Diploma;
- 4+ years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant;
- Must know rules and practice direction;
- Ability to work with all levels of court;
- Skilled at managing priorities to hit multiple deadlines;
- Skills with MS Office, CMS, InterAction and ACL;
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; and
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality when interacting with clients.
