Their core service is and continues to be International freight forwarding, inclusive of International air /Ocean, Canadian domestic, Transborder shipping, and brokerage services to name a few.

The Role
This individual will provide logistics support that exhibits a professional, business-like and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate with agents, customers and carriers, overseeing the daily operations and supporting existing and new and business ventures.
The Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with agents and customers
- Respond to agents and customers requesting rate quotes in an efficient and timely manner
- Strong interaction with sales and operations groups
- Present accurate and complete rate and service proposals with a goal of exceeding customer expectations
- Provide unique and effective problem solving relative to customs, agent and customer issues
- Build and nurture client relationships and channel customer feedback into the organization
- Investigate, assist and resolve any pricing discrepancy issues
- Inquire, follow up and effectively communicate any issues or concerns to customers
- Generate or assist with any required documentation for international shipments
- Assist with implementing and validating corrective/preventive actions as required
- Enlist involvement or assist with any issues or concerns from customers or agents
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a related field a strong asset
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in freight forwarding or transborder; international experience is preferred
- Strong Computer literacy with Microsoft applications and industry-related software
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail in all work
- Ability to ask the right questions and understand customer needs and be persistent in resolving outstanding issues in a timely manner
- Knowledge of international freight solutions and how to effectively and accurately manage complex rate quotes
