Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in food preparation or food service required

Tasks: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, and who measure and combine ingredients, use heat sources and other equipment to bake goods such as donuts, bread, pastry, sandwiches, pizza, chicken and others; Estimate and order ingredients and supplies; Requisition food and kitchen supplies; Ensure food service and quality control; Ensure that each item meets food safety and quality control; Ensure that all food decorating and displaying of finished products meet the standards of the business and that the kitchen staff create amazing baked goods as this is essential; Supervise and check that deliveries of food orders are fulfilled accurately and on time; Ensure that workstations are cleaned, restocked and all equipment is sanitized for the next shift; Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage; Prepare and submit reports; Establish work schedules; Address customer’ complaints or concerns; May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets; Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures; Establish methods to meet work schedules; May plan menus and determine related food and labour costs; Prepare budget and cost estimates; May perform some cashier duties when required; May perform same duties as those supervised, including measuring and combining ingredients, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as donuts, bread, pastry, sandwiches, pizza, chicken and others.
Supervision: 5-10 people; staff in various areas of responsibility
