Our Edmonton branch is looking to add an Inside Sales Representative, who has carbon steel pipe, fitting, flange, and valve experience. Position Summary:
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating product and service orders from customers’ inquiries. Your goal is to achieve sales objectives set by your manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming sales calls and customer inquiries;
- Review customer requirements and inventory to provide timely and accurate responses;
- Document any order requirement exceptions taken and confirmed;
- Process timely detailed and accurate quotation responses to the customers;
- Follow up on quotes directly with customers or with the support of the outside sales team;
- Expedite orders to ensure customer delivery dates are achieved;
- Source and purchase buy-ins from suppliers that can meet customer requirements at the best cost while achieving the required quality level;
- Maintain excellent communications with internal departments, customers, and suppliers;
- Continuously improve sales productivity and product knowledge.
Requirements:
- Education: Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field;
- Sales Experience: 5 years sales experience in Pipe, Flange, Fitting, Valve and/or energy industry an asset;
- Product Knowledge: Pipe, Flange, Valves, & Fitting and/or energy industry;
- Industry Experience: Mining, industrial, oil field, project supply, and/or fabrication industries;
- Professional demeanor, customer service focused;
- Excellent communication, organizational, social, technical, and product skills;
- Comfortable with technology, proficient in Excel, and experienced with ERP software;
- Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills.
- Able to build and maintain strong working relationships.
