This privately held successful Canadian company has developed supply chain solutions that connect their clients’ operations from one end to the other. Acting as a single source of accountability, they reduce customer touchpoints and take care of transportation, Canadian customs brokerage, and freight forwarding seamlessly. They offer clients trusted efficiency, scale, savings, and headache-free supply chain connections, with impeccable insight into their data along the way.
The Warehousing, Distribution and Fulfillment division is experiencing tremendous growth. This role will leverage best-in-class services, technology, and team into a new phase of growth for the Logistics and Supply Chain division. This organization has invested heavily in new technologies and the building of a strong operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Understand client needs and tailor full cycle customs brokerage and logistics solutions to meet their specific requirements.
New Business Development
- Identify and target potential clients in various industries throughout Canada.
- Responsible for growing own book of business increasing volume, revenue, and gross margin from both established and new customers.
- Complete or assist with benchmarking and needs analysis to establish assessment of opportunity.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients.
Customs Compliance and Consultation
- Provide expertise on customs regulations, tariffs, and trade compliance to clients.
- Collaborate with customs department to ensure that clients' import/export activities are in full compliance with customs laws and regulations.
Sales and Revenue Generation
- Set and achieve sales targets and revenue goals for logistics services.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts and agreements with clients.
- Prepare and submit competitive pricing proposals.
Market Analysis and Strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments.
- Set monthly, quarterly, and yearly KPI goals based on volume, revenue, and gross margin growth, for each customer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related disciplines is preferred.
- Proven track record in business development or sales within the customs brokerage, transportation or 3PL Logistics industry.
- Knowledge of customs brokerage services, import/export regulations, and international trade practices preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients at various levels.
- Exceptional negotiation and persuasive abilities, with a focus on win-win outcomes.
- Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tracking tools.
