About the Role


Reporting to the Director of Franchising you will play a key role in driving the growth and success of our franchise network. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new franchise partners Canada-wide. We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven individual who can complete tasks independently and is an out-of-the-box thinker who strives for excellence and innovation. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic team and make a significant impact on the expansion of our brand.



Responsibilities


· Collaborate with the franchise team and management to determine the most viable new location opportunities across Canada using appropriate data and analytics.


· Identify opportunities for new franchisee acquisition.


· Work with Franchising support staff and operations to ensure a robust pipeline of leads and candidates to meet ongoing recruitment needs.


· Establish relationships with existing franchisees to effectively recruit for additional store growth.


· Provide responsive, supportive, and brand-aligned attention through the franchise discovery process.


· Educate prospective franchisees about the business retail opportunity and articulate the value proposition of the business while guiding prospective franchisees through the sales process.


· Qualify prospective franchisee candidates and present candidates for approval. Determine the candidate’s financial suitability, retail skills, and ability to align with the brand values and mission.


· Develop a strong understanding of the Franchise Agreement and Disclosure Document.


· Work as part of a cohesive team striving towards personal, team and corporate goals.


· Responsible for adhering to laws about franchise sales and disclosure of information.


· Develop and execute a recruitment strategy based on real estate priorities/market plan.


· Collaborates with the sales team and management to determine the most viable new location opportunities across Canada using appropriate data and analytics.


· Is keenly aware of the competitive position of the franchise and its viability as a business system vis-à-vis other major franchise concepts.


· Takes on other specific projects as directed by the Director of Franchising from time to time.


· Regularly seek connections and build relationships in the franchising community while always acting as a brand ambassador for the company.


· Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform business strategies and decision-making


· Participation at franchise shows and periodic travel across Canada.



Qualifications


· 5 years of experience in franchise sales with a proven track record of success in franchise sales or business development, preferably in the pet industry.

· A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field is preferred.

· Strong understanding of franchise operations, including legal requirements, financial considerations, and best practices

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision makers

· Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

· Results-driven mindset with a passion for achieving targets and driving business growth.

· Genuine love for pets and a commitment to their well-being.
