Your new role
The Channel Sales Manager embodies the next level of leadership in the evolution of the CSS (Customer Success Specialist) role. This position centers around strategic partnership development, growth planning, and commercial leadership within the designated territory. Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, the Channel Manager must maintain a proactive and strategic mindset to achieve sales objectives and cultivate lasting customer relationships.
- Collaborate with the Sales Rep channels and direct resources to identify, cultivate, and expand strategic business partnerships within the territory.
- Support account strategies for Top 10-20 Partner growth targets, incorporating competitive analysis, wallet share analysis, and execution priorities with the Regional Sales Manager and Sales Rep.
- Lead proactive account planning initiatives using CRM tool Salesforce, coordinating with the Regional Sales Manager to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution.
- Provide commercial leadership, sales strategy formulation, competitive intelligence gathering, industry knowledge dissemination, negotiation strategy development, and pricing agreement negotiation.
- Take the lead on developing and implementing training initiatives in collaboration with the Marketing, Services, and Solutions teams to enhance the skills and knowledge of the clients product offerings, industry insights, and value-added services.
- Utilize CRM tool to document and communicate critical activities, engagements, and customer interactions, facilitating comprehensive record-keeping and streamlined communication.
What you will need to succeed
- Post-secondary technical education, preferably in instrumentation, process control, automation, electronics, or engineering is an asset
- Must have technical knowledge and the ability to discuss complex technical requirements with customers.
- Must have Sales process knowledge and experience with setting up sales goals
- Over 10 years of experience in sales on a senior level
