Salary Range: 70k-85k

We are in search of an energetic and driven individual to become part of our team as an Energy Sales Representative. This position entails the promotion and sale of energy products and services to commercial and industrial clients. Your duties will include expanding our clientele, achieving sales objectives, and aiding in the overall advancement of our company.

 

 

What You Will Do

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customers' energy requirements and recommend suitable products or services.
  • Present and demonstrate energy products and solutions to clients, highlighting their features and risk management benefits.
  • Generate leads and identify potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms of sale to ensure win-win outcomes for both the customer and the company.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, contracts, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  •  Follow up with customers to address any questions or concerns and provide ongoing support throughout the sales process.
  •  Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive offerings to effectively position our products in the market.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and technical support, to ensure seamless execution of sales transactions.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  •  Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress using CRM software.
  •  Develop business cases and cost/benefit analyses, energy marketing experience with demonstrated ability in relationship management and marketing platform management.
  •  Working knowledge of financial modeling for business case justification.


What You Will Bring:

 

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

  •  Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads, track activities, and generate reports.
  •  Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a results-driven mindset.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with customers.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to sales, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Collaborative: You are a natural relationship builder comfortable working and engaging with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  •  Detail-oriented: You have demonstrated experience in being hands-on in projects to inform key project and business decisions.
  •  Process-oriented: You are organized and thorough in providing structure to projects and experienced in connecting multiple stakeholders with aligned interests.
  •  Diligent: You have solid attention to detail, and you follow up with others where needed to ensure outstanding information or projects are completed within the established deadlines.
  • Strong communicator: You have exceptional oral and written communication skills and can articulate your message clearly and concisely.

 

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  •  Familiarity with energy products, services, and technologies is desirable but not required; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the energy industry or a related field.
