Senior Program Managers orchestrate multiple projects, ensuring that our technological solutions align with business objectives. Bringing a balance of creativity and ability to execute to a process, we are looking for those who can drive large, complex, technology transformations ensuring success from inception to deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight: Develop and manage comprehensive program plans, ensuring that deliverables are achieved on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Oversight: Align technological solutions and deliverables with the company's strategic objectives and to others in the technology portfolio.
- Foster strong relationships with project stakeholders, both internal and external, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration. Ability to communicate with business and technology leaders.
- Translate technical jargon into business terms for stakeholders at various levels, from team members to executives.
- Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects, ensuring optimal utilization of team strengths and competencies.
- Predict resource needs and potential bottlenecks, creating solutions to address them.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all projects. This includes both technical and non-technical risks.
- Establish risk management protocols and ensure they are adhered to across teams.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to project managers and other team members.
- Promote a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration within the team.
- Oversee program budgets, ensuring that financial targets are met without compromising on quality.
- Provide regular financial updates to senior management. Follow established processes in creating and maintaining budgetary reports.
- Understand the technological aspects of projects, enabling effective communication with technical teams.
- Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and stored appropriately.
- Generate regular progress reports as required for team audiences, providing insights into the overall health of the program.
- Build and nurture relationships with third-party vendors and suppliers.
- Evaluate project results and feedback to identify areas of improvement.
- Implement best practices in project management, staying updated with the latest industry trends.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in program management, with a focus on technology projects.
Technical Skills: Proficient in project management software like Jira, Trello, MS Project, or similar tools.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the technology landscape, in particular in banking and telecommunications.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively, executing projects of $2M+ with multiple lines of business and channels impacted.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, experience creating executive summaries and reports.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyze business processes and workflows.
