JA British Columbia (JABC) is seeking a dynamic Program Manager, JA Company Program Indigenous to support our vision to equip young people with the skillset and mindset to build thriving communities. As part of our Indigenous Communities team, you’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating the delivery of JA Company Program for Indigenous Learners, both in-person and virtually, across schools and communities in British Columbia. The responsibilities for this role encompass overseeing educator and participant enrolment, cultivating volunteer involvement, facilitating program lessons in virtual, traditional and non-traditional educational settings, fostering alumni connections, and promoting and providing support for scholarship and award applicants.
We acknowledge that our work spans many territories and that our head office resides on the traditional and ancestral unceded shared territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations peoples.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a background in education, with experience in teaching or facilitating educational programs. They must have a deep understanding of Indigenous perspectives, culture, and teachings along with demonstrated experience and knowledge in integrating Indigenous perspectives into educational programming and facilitating lessons that honor and respect Indigenous cultures and teachings.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills to effectively engage with Indigenous communities and interest-holders. An appreciation for Indigenous knowledge systems and a commitment to fostering cultural awareness and understanding are essential for this role.

Compensation
This is a full-time position, requiring 22.5 to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The starting salary range for this role is $50,000 to $65,000 annually, subject to review and negotiable based on experience.
An offer of employment with JABC is conditional upon the successful completion of reference checks along with a successful criminal record and vulnerable sector check, as required by applicable laws and regulations.
