Project Manager/Business Analyst

We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager/Business Analyst role to support a partner of ours in the Public Educational Services Sector.
Job Description
- Following industry best practices, collaborate with stakeholders to develop detailed solutions. This must take into account business requirements, tolerance for change, budget availability, CCS technology, and detailed institutional priorities and initiatives.
- Develop in-depth understanding of a client’s complex business environment. Often this will require a thorough understanding of the client’s mandate, priorities, budget, strategic visions, business processes, metrics and challenges.
- Develop in depth understanding of CCS service offerings, technologies utilized, strategic plans and priorities.
- Identify communication, testing and training requirements to assist users in adopting new processes.
- Work with clients, STO and CCS to develop and execute effective testing plans, including data related migration and testing.
- Work with clients, STO and CCS to develop effective and execute documentation to assist in testing and training.
- During BA engagement, collects client satisfaction metrics and lessons learned, and applies this to future BA initiatives.
- Project planning including defining the project goals, objectives and deliverables, scope, budget, resource requirements, project tasks and timelines.
- Project Management including executing the project plan, resource management, monitoring and communicating status, monitoring and mitigating risk and changes, assuming responsibility for scope, time and cost management.
- Follow agreed upon change management processes to identify, document, review, approve, prioritize, communicate and implement all changes.
- Coordination of activities when requiring services of CCS units, others on campus, and vendors.
- Report to STO and CCS lead on progress, results and be accountable for success of projects.
- Participate in project steering committees which help guide decision making within the project.
Requirements:
- Certification in CCBA (Certification of Competency in Business Analysis) or CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), with demonstrated 5+ years’ experience in enterprise-wide IT Business Analysis roles.
- PMP, Prince2 or other project management certification with demonstrated 5+ years’ experience in enterprise-wide IT Project Management roles.
- Previous experience in a higher education institution with demonstrated leadership and collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science/Information Technology and several years of related work experience with IT infrastructure and enterprise systems or a combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record in business analysis techniques using industry standards (such as BABOK).
- Proven track record managing projects using industry standards (such as PMI) to execute in an agile, waterfall or mixed environment.
- Experience in Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Demonstrated leadership and collaboration.
- Strong technical competence with experience in large, enterprise wide initiatives including infrastructure, security, and applications.
- Understanding of the complexities that are present when working with a large and diverse user base including but not limited to students, staff, faculty, technical and non-technical personal.
- Proven experience with communication, promoting, training, support, and understanding of business process while leading an initiative.
- Change management experience in an enterprise application environment including release management across development, test and production systems and maintaining related documentation.
