Position Title: Front of House Restaurant Manager

Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House (FOH) Manager to lead our service team and ensure exceptional guest experiences. As the FOH Manager, you will oversee daily dining room operations, manage front-of-house staff, and work closely with kitchen leadership to maintain smooth service flow. You will be the face of our hospitality and play a key role in shaping the culture and standards of our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervise and coordinate all FOH operations including host, bar, and server teams
-Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate FOH staff
-Deliver outstanding customer service and handle guest issues promptly and professionally
-Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
-Monitor and maintain inventory of front-of-house supplies
-Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
-Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure timely, seamless service
-Manage POS systems, cash handling, and daily opening/closing procedures
-Track and report on FOH performance metrics
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory FOH role in a full-service restaurant
Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
Customer Focus: Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for hospitality
Organization: Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills
Technology: Proficient with POS systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office
Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Certifications (preferred): Food Handler’s Certification, Smart Serve

Mill St. Brewery officially opened in December 2002. The brewery began in an original tank house within the historic Gooderham & Worts Distillery complex, now known as the Historic Distillery District.
Built in the late 1870s, the building is a well-preserved example of classic Victorian industrial architecture. In 2013 Mill St. Brewery added a new dimension to the Mill St. Brew Pub family with the launch of The Beer Hall. Using a sophisticated draught beer delivery system, The Beer Hall offers a selection of Mill St. beers pumped through copper encased beer lines.
The delivery system also services a copper still that is used to distill the new Mill St. Bierschnaps. Created from their award-winning craft beers, the Mill St. Bierschnaps, a traditional German style dry spirit, is a first for Canadian Craft brewers. The production of Bierschnaps brings back a 150 year old tradition of distilling to Toronto's historic Distillery District. The Beer Hall celebrates the tradition of its namesake with communal seating with a modern, lively atmosphere and showcases their space with an open concept kitchen, copper still and beer lines.

The menu is designed with a modern take on hearty, traditional beer hall fare. We showcase every one of Mill St. Brewery's beers by Brewmaster Joel Manning.
We also offer delivery. Our driver leaves every hour on the hour. Orders can be placed until quarter to every hour. We will delivery everything from 6-packs to kegs. Delivery available for the area between Mill Street to Lakeshore and Parliament Street to Cherry Street.
