Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Export Manager with comprehensive knowledge of technical applications for processed food exportation globally. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in exporting various food products, with a particular focus on meat products. Based in Toronto, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the expansion of our international presence and uphold our commitment to quality and excellence.


Responsibilities:


Develop and execute strategic plans to drive the exportation of processed food products, ensuring alignment with company objectives and targets.

Manage all aspects of the export process, including documentation, customs compliance, shipping logistics, and regulatory requirements.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with international clients, distributors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth operations and ensure customer satisfaction.

Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting global food trade, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, production, and quality assurance teams to optimize product offerings and meet customer demands.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities for expansion into emerging markets and diversification of product portfolio.

Oversee the preparation of export-related documentation, such as invoices, certificates of origin, and sanitary certificates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

Monitor and manage export budgets, expenses, and performance metrics to achieve cost-effective operations and maximize profitability.

Lead and mentor export team members, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to enhance capabilities and performance.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in export management, preferably in the processed food industry.

Proven track record of successfully exporting food products globally, with a focus on meat products being a significant asset.

In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.

Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to identify market trends, assess competitive landscapes, and develop strategic plans.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Proficiency in relevant software applications, including ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and export management software.

Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
