Job Title: Production Manager

Reports to: VP of Operations

Our client, a growing food manufacturer is looking for a Production Manager to oversee operations. They are looking for someone to lead their production team to new heights of efficiency and excellence as they continue to innovate and expand operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of production within a 24/7 operation, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
• Directly supervise a team of 20 individuals while indirectly overseeing 100 more, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate closely with the VP of Operations to establish and achieve production goals, budgets, and timelines.
• Maintain and improve upon existing production processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement and implementing best practices.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including food safety standards and workplace safety protocols.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability, encouraging team members to contribute ideas and suggestions for optimizing production processes.
• Serve as a hands-on leader, willing and able to step in and assist with production tasks as needed to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 -5 years of experience as a Production Manager in the food industry, preferably with a background in food science.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing teams in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of driving process improvements and achieving operational efficiencies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
• Flexibility to work a 24/7 schedule and willingness to be hands-on in all aspects of production management.
