Job Description

Esri Canada has an interesting opportunity for an Account Manager based out of our Montreal or Quebec office. Join our team to build the Quebec Region’s efforts within the growing utilities, telecommunications, and municipal government markets. Apply your industry knowledge to help our customers solve business challenges with Esri products and solutions. An energetic and driven professional is needed to prospect business development activities and focus on selling solutions including software, services, and training to a variety of customer accounts, primarily focused on the Utilities and Municipal Government markets.


Account Manager responsibilities included:

  • Execute account management strategies designed to facilitate the implementation of business relevant solutions within a portfolio of targeted accounts.
  • Develop and drive new accounts and expand existing accounts by selling software, services, enterprise agreements and protecting maintenance.
  • Work closely with the Quebec Region’s consulting practice and other internal departments to facilitate client need fulfillment, respond to RFP’s, and ensure successful implementations of our technology.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and customer relationships to understand complex customer requirements on both a business and technical level.
  • Conceptualize automation and improvements with Esri Canada Solutions (Esri, Trimble Cityworks, Schneider Electric, Ratio.City, etc.,)
  • Build and advance relationships with clients based on trust and respect.
  • Collect and analyze data to learn more about customers business needs and priorities.
  • Manage the accurate and timely upkeep of Account and Opportunity related information in Salesforce to provide a monthly sales forecast and to project opportunities to year end.
  • Maintain knowledge of company and key partner solutions including professional services offerings.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel at all levels, always representing the company in a professional manner.
  • Resolve complaints and preventing additional issues by helping to improve processes.
  • Continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending, and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
  • Conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Regional Director and District Manager in a timely and professional manner.


Specific skill requirements:

  • University Degree or College Diploma
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with utilities and municipal governments in a sales, consulting, or operations role.
  • Experience developing business relationships with customers.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner with all teams involved in delivering customer success
  • Must be able to travel locally to meet with the customers as required

Le directeur(trice) de compte devra :

  • Exécuter des stratégies de gestion de compte conçues pour faciliter l’implantation de solutions d’affaires au sein d’un portefeuille de comptes ciblés.
  • Aller chercher de nouveaux comptes et élargir les comptes existants par la vente de logiciels, de services, d’ententes d’entreprises et de programmes d’entretien.
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les conseillères et les conseillers de la région de l’Ontario et d’autres services internes à satisfaire aux besoins des clients, à répondre aux demandes de propositions et à assurer la mise en œuvre réussie de notre technologie.
  • Tirer parti d’une connaissance de l’industrie et des relations établies pour comprendre les besoins complexes des clients sur les plans opérationnel et technique.
  • Conceptualiser l’automatisation et les améliorations avec les solutions d’Esri Canada (Esri, Cityworks de Trimble, Schneider Electric, Ratio.City, etc.).
  • Établir et faire progresser avec les clients des relations fondées sur la confiance et le respect.
  • Recueillir et analyser des données pour mieux connaître les besoins et les priorités des clients.

  • Maintenir une connaissance des solutions de l’entreprise et de ses principaux partenaires, y compris les offres de services professionnels.
  • Communiquer efficacement avec le personnel interne et externe à tous les niveaux en représentant toujours l’entreprise de manière professionnelle.
  • Résoudre les plaintes et prévenir d’autres problèmes en contribuant à l’amélioration des processus.

Formation et expérience nécessaires

  • Diplôme universitaire ou collégial
  • Minimum de cinq années d’expérience en vente
  • Expérience dans l’établissement de relations d’affaires étendues et complexes avec de grands clients
  • Bonne compréhension de l’utilisation des SIG
