Responsibilties:
* Guest greeting: Welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude. Manage the seating chart efficiently and ensure guests are promptly seated, providing them with menus and any necessary information.
* Reservation management: Handle incoming reservations, both online and over the phone. Keep an organized record of reservations and ensure a smooth flow of seating, balancing reservations with walk-in guests.
* Communication hub: Serve as the communication hub between the front of house and back of house teams. Relay important information about reservations, special requests, and guest preferences to ensure a seamless dining experience.
* Waitlist management: Maintain an organized waitlist during peak hours. Provide accurate wait time estimates and keep guests informed of their status. Manage the flow of guests in the waiting area.
* Guest assistance: Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests they may have. Provide information about the menu, daily specials, and promotions.
* Maintaining a tidy entrance: Keep the entrance area clean and organized. Ensure menus are in good condition, and the waiting area is inviting for guests.
* Collaboration with the team: Work closely with servers, bussers, and other staff members to ensure a coordinated effort in delivering excellent service. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
