We are looking for a friendly, well-organized Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and positive dining experience. Your primary responsibilities include greeting guests, managing reservations, and seating guests efficiently to ensure smooth dining room operations.
Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly and professionally as they enter the restaurant
Manage the seating chart and coordinate table assignments
Provide accurate wait time estimates and keep guests informed
Answer phone calls, manage reservations, and handle takeout orders (if applicable)
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance area
Assist in monitoring dining room activity to ensure timely table turnover
Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and management to ensure guest satisfaction
Handle guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and escalate as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a host/hostess or in customer service is a plus, but not required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly, professional, and polished demeanor
Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation software a plus
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand for long periods and move around the dining area
