We are currently looking for a PASTRY COOK to join our dynamic team at COAST RESTAURANT. CATCH. COOK. EAT. A true west coast dining experience.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
-Responsible for creating and preparing confectionery and other pastry-based items in accordance with existing menu
-Inspect the quality of ingredients and accurately measure them for specific recipes
-Execute pastry orders as per spec and garnishing requirements
-Ensure compliance with food handling safety regulation, health and safety workplace policies and procedures
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
-Minimum 2 years of pastry cook, baker, or similar
-Completion of related pastry culinary program, is an asset
-Food Safe certification, or wiling to train
-Energetic with a passion for everything “sweet” and a positive outlook
-Creative ability in design and decorating
-Workable knowledge of kitchen equipment
-Solid understanding of standard measurements and portions
-Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
-Excellent team player and camaraderie with others
-Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight
-Ability to stand for long periods of time
-Organizational Skills and team player
