JOB TITLE: SALES ASSOCIATE (Alberta | Edmonton

As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for all sales related activities to support the performance of the Total Beverage Alcohol (TBA) Brands within the TOPIKOS portfolio. This role will support a defined territory in the Alberta Market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet quarterly and annual performance goals to enhance Topikos' brand presence in retail stores.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, handling their needs promptly and professionally.
• Lead in-store activities and business development to become the preferred choice for customers.
• Manage and develop relationships with retail outlets, focusing on high customer satisfaction and timely response to inquiries.
• Implement sales strategies, service existing accounts, and secure new orders to boost sales performance.
• Ensure comprehensive coverage of your regional territory through regular visits, ensuring customer satisfaction and staff training on our products.
• Independently create and execute detailed account plans aimed at achieving sales targets.
• Educate retail staff about our product portfolio to enhance their ability to recommend our products effectively.
• Monitor sales trends in each outlet to anticipate and respond to future product demands.
• Collaborate closely with decision-makers in retail outlets to ensure our products are prominently displayed and available.
• Provide updates on return on investment and adjust strategies to improve outcomes.
• Perform other related duties and projects as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Business Administration, or equivalent
• Two (2) to five (5) years direct selling experience for a CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) or beverage alcohol company including both account service and new account hunting and development; CPG and beverage alcohol experience in retail is preferred.
• Industry-related training and certification, as required.
• Strong understanding of financials, including trade spending and product profitability
• Excellent communication and a demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate with customers.
• Proven experience working with a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
• Passion for the emerging TBA (Total Beverage Alcohol) industry and can harness that passion to build a business.

• Formal sales training in retail selling fundamentals
• Customer service training and direct-to-business customer experience
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Power Point)
• Strong data entry skills, with keyboard proficiency
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload across multiple simultaneous tasks, in a fast-paced work environment, while ensuring delivery of high-quality work and meeting timelines
• Driver’s License
