They seek a Senior Manager, eCommerce to be a part of a team pioneering grocery eCommerce in Canada and will lead all efforts across all sites. They’ll focus on driving their team and external vendors to improve site conversion, increase average order value, provide a personalized user experience, and increase accessibility to products through a variety of fulfillment channels. They’ll build onto an existing omni-channel approach that serves customers primarily through brick-and-mortar retail locations with pickup, curbside, and delivery options. Contract: 12 Months and hybrid. The salary range - $100K - $115K.
DESCRIPTION
The Senior Manager, eCommerce duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Establishes strategic objectives by gathering business, operations, financial, vendor, and industry information.
- Defines objectives, identifies, and evaluates trends and options, chooses a course of action, and evaluates outcomes.
- Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff and vendors, forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Drive website conversion through effective UX and relevant content.
- Executing brand strategy through effective content across eCommerce channels.
- Maintain and update the eCommerce platform to engage customers to shop online and minimize friction
- Build and grow Marketplace network to increase reach and bring new customers into the brand
- Provide relevant insights from internal web analytics (i.e. Google Analytics, Web Platform Analytics) along with external resources (i.e. conferences, articles, webinars)
- Manages the end-to-end operations of the e-commerce business.
- Ensures the brand is well represented across all eCommerce properties by managing content updates.
- Generates data-driven market insights and manages relationships with partners.
- Collaborates with the Marketing team to increase awareness of eCommerce programs and web traffic.
- Maintains the technology roadmap, in coordination with an external website development agency, providing prioritization of tasks, activities, and projects to staff and vendors.
- Optimizes conversion through A/B testing, in coordination with external vendors and technology tools.
- Communicate with other departments and store networks regarding eCommerce programs and efforts.
- Responds to urgent issues in a timely manner by communicating to other departments, store network, and customers.
- Collaborates with Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, Operations, and other departments in to support a variety of business needs.
REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years experience working in a marketing or creative role.
- Experience managing people and vendors
- University or college degree
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office application suite is expected (particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
- Proficiency with Google Analytics
- Experience in retail or CPG customer exposure is a requirement
- Experience in the food industry is considered an asset.
