A Vancouver restaurant group is seeking an experienced kitchen manager to oversee back of house operations for multiple locations.
The kitchen manager will report to the general manager. It is important that you possess strong organizational, analytical and time management skills.
The ideal candidate should be a natural leader, who motivates and encourages your team to go above and beyond. Candidates should have a passion for food and thrive in a high-volume environment. Candidates should be detail oriented, and hold a firm understanding of the overall objectives.
Duties will include:
Arranging and directing biweekly inventory of all locations
Weekly invoicing and reconciliations.
Weekly scheduling of kitchen crew within acceptable labour margins.
Ordering and purchasing for kitchen from authorized vendors.
Weekly progress reporting to head office.
Menu item costing.
Analysis of budgeted to actual results, including investigation of variances, as well as designing and implementing controls, policies and procedures to mitigate variances.
Maintaining overall food cost within acceptable margins.
Implementing, managing and overseeing par levels for ordering.
Implementing, managing and overseeing par levels for prep items.
Create and maintain weekly feature items in consultation with the General Manager and Head Office.
Responsible for overall cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchens and other designated areas.
Training and developing kitchen crew and assistant kitchen managers.
Leading the back of house team at one of our locations through service hours.
Communicating with venues’ General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
Proficiency in the English language is a prerequisite.
Candidates should possess a good knowledge of Microsoft excel, as well as standard hospitality software.
Compensation TBD based on experience.
