Description of Services:

Botsford is looking to expand its Regulatory Change & Operational Change team. This group partners with multiple Major Canadian Banking clients to support new and ongoing initiatives such as:

• Mifid II
• CFTC
• EMIR Rewrite
• CSA
• Changes from SEC
• IIROC
• CDIC
• Payments Modernization

This would be working with our client groups such as:

• Transformation
• Settlements, Clearing, Reconciliation, Product Control, Onboarding

Our Botsford Consulting team helps support our clients through the entire lifecycle of the regulation and/or business initiative (impact assessment, requirements creation, technical analysis, testing, etc.)

Must Haves:

• Strong experience in Reg Reporting or Operational functions
• Capital Markets Regulatory experience (preferably on CFTC, SBSD, EMIR, HKMA, MAS, or FO Regulations affecting Derivatives products) OR Capital Markets Operations experience including Settlements, Clearing, Reconciliation, Product Control, Client Onboarding
• Basic UAT testing experience in Capital Markets setting and Business Requirements Documentation experience
• Good understanding of OTC derivatives products (any asset class is acceptable)
• Experience with SQL

Responsibilities

Have overall responsibility to plan and manage client engagements, lead the day-to-day operation and execution of services as well as contribute to business development activities by

• Managing the planning and delivery of multiple client engagements ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of quality work in line with client expectations
• Taking responsibility for large scale transformation projects across front, middle and back office functions
• Developing trusted client relationships at the Leadership levels, and managing engagement teams of consultants/practitioners
• Identifying business development opportunities and contributing to the writing and submission of proposals and bid documents
• Being known as a trusted advisor within Capital Markets, Wealth Management , Risk or related sectors.
• Motivating your team and creating a culture of inclusion. You will provide day-to-day guidance and actionable coaching to your team

Qualifications

• 4+ years of combined Financial Services industry and consulting experience
• Proven track record of building and growing client relationships at senior levels.
• Experience across multiple functions in Financial services
• Ability to manage client projects and associated team members
• Core Consulting Skills and competencies
• Proven track record in supporting practice development, business development and people development.
