Operations Manager
Reports To: CEO
Position Type: Full-time
Location: Hybrid, Calgary
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00 pm, 40 hours per week
Salary Range: $90,000 - 110,000 CAD annually

At Phantom Compliance, we’re passionate about efficiency, innovation, and client-centricity. We’re on the lookout for a driven Operations Manager to join our Calgary team. In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate closely with the CEO to jointly steer the company. As our dedicated operations leader, you’ll be tasked with implementing strategies and processes devised by the CEO and consistently delivering results.
You’ll offer expert insights into our operations and champion new initiatives to bolster the company’s rapid expansion, all while wielding considerable internal influence over pivotal tasks. You’ll be recognized as a potential successor to the CEO, charting a course toward the company’s growth. What will you do:
- You have 10-12 years of industry-related experience, an advanced understanding of finance and banking, and a track record of leadership achievements.
- A University Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Finance, Marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- You enjoy developing comprehensive business strategies, setting performance goals, and ensuring that day-to-day operations align with long-term objectives and company vision.
- You identify bottlenecks, streamline processes and implement best practices to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Project management is your domain, with a proven ability to guide initiatives from start to finish, on schedule and budget.
- You are committed to operational excellence, implementing policies that elevate efficiency and managing daily workflows for peak productivity.
- You oversee sales monitoring and expense control, providing financial insights that support the company’s direction in collaboration with finance teams.
- You take pride in effectively connecting with employees and team leads, clearly conveying important information.
What Sets You Apart:
- Your proven track record in leading transformative change and scaling operations is particularly notable in the dynamic crypto sector, as well as in traditional finance and compliance domains.
- You possess exceptional sales management acumen, with a history of steering hybrid teams to surpass performance benchmarks and achieve remarkable sales outcomes.
Bonus points if you have:
- 10-12 years of related experience with AML/ATF regulations and risk mitigation strategies.
- Extensive knowledge about KYC and reporting requirements from FINTRAC and FinCEN
- An MBA or a similar combination of experience can provide impactful knowledge and skills
