Description de l’emploi :



Sous la responsabilité du chef de la direction financière régionale, Cuivre, le titulaire du poste est chargé de veiller à la gouvernance financière, à la gestion des risques et à la mise en œuvre des mesures de contrôle dans l’ensemble des fonctions financières de la région. La personne retenue est responsable de l’examen et de la maintenance des matrices de risque et de contrôle (MRC) conformément aux exigences de la réforme d’entreprise du Royaume-Uni (UKCR), y compris la formation, la communication de l’information et les recommandations sur les contrôles pertinents. Dans le cadre de ses fonctions, le titulaire doit procéder à l’examen des processus financiers afin de s’assurer que ceux-ci sont à la fois adéquats et dotés de mesures de contrôle efficaces.



Plus spécifiquement, vous aurez à:



  • Mettre en œuvre et maintenir des mesures internes solides en matière de matrices de risque et de contrôle (MRC) conformément aux exigences d’UKCR ainsi qu’aux réglementations et normes pertinentes.
  • Effectuer une évaluation et un suivi continus quant à l’efficacité des mesures de contrôle internes et formuler des recommandations d’amélioration en ce sens.
  • Mettre régulièrement à l’essai les mesures de contrôle internes au sein de la filière cuivre afin de relever les lacunes et les points à améliorer. Élaborer et mettre en œuvre des plans de redressement pour remédier aux lacunes.
  • Assurer un rôle de vigie sur le processus de certification des contrôles financiers dans la région, en veillant au respect des exigences internes et externes.
  • Analyser les procédures et processus financiers afin d’évaluer leur adéquation, leur efficience et leur efficacité en matière de protection des actifs financiers de l’organisation.
  • Tenir à jour des documents détaillés sur les processus de contrôle, les résultats des évaluations et les mesures correctives.
  • Proposer des programmes de formation et de sensibilisation aux membres du personnel afin de promouvoir une culture de contrôle financier et de gouvernance.
  • Préparer régulièrement des rapports et des mises à jour à l’intention de la direction générale et des parties prenantes concernant l’état des contrôles internes et de la gouvernance financière.



Qualifications et expérience:



  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité ou dans un domaine connexe. Titre de comptable professionnel agréé (CPA), un atout.
  • Expérience reconnue en matière de gouvernance financière, de contrôle interne ou d’audit, dont un minimum de 7 ans dans un poste de direction.
  • Connaissance approfondie de la réglementation financière et des principes comptables.
  • Excellentes capacités d’analyse et de résolution de problèmes.
  • Solides compétences en matière de communication et de relations interpersonnelles suscitant la collaboration entre les équipes interfonctionnelles.
  • Souci du détail et capacité à travailler de manière autonome ainsi qu’en équipe.
  • Maîtrise des logiciels et outils financiers.
  • Compréhension de la gestion des risques et de la conformité.

Job Description:



Reporting to the Regional Copper CFO, this role is responsible for ensuring financial governance, risk management and controls implementation across the finance functions across the region. This position is responsible for reviewing and maintenance of Risk and Control Matrixes (RACM) in line with UKCR requirements, including training, reporting and recommendations on relevant controls. Additionally, the role entails reviewing finance processes to ensure they are both adequate and equipped with efficient controls.




More specifically, you will be tasked with:



  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls Risk and Control Matrixes (RACM) in line with UKCR requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Continuously assess and monitor the effectiveness of internal controls and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Conduct periodic internal control testing within the Copper business unit to identify weaknesses and areas of improvement. Develop and execute remediation plans to address deficiencies.
  • Oversee the certification process for financial controls within the region, ensuring adherence to internal and external requirements.
  • Review financial processes and procedures to evaluate their adequacy, efficiency, and effectiveness in safeguarding the organization's financial assets.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of control processes, testing results, and remediation efforts.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to staff members to promote a culture of financial control and governance.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management and stakeholders regarding the status of internal controls and financial governance.



Qualifications and experience required :



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related field. CPA designation is a plus.
  • Proven experience in financial governance, internal control, or audit roles, with a minimum of 7 years in a managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • An understanding of risk management and compliance.
