Our client, a successful organization that operates a very nice resort-style property in Vancouver Island, requires a qualified Facilities Manager (Chief Engineer) to manage the day-to-day operations of the Engineering department.
Primary responsibilities include all engineering/maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds, and physical assets in accordance with high standards, with particular attention to safety, security, and asset protection.
The property must be maintained in an optimum and efficient condition, and the safety and comfort of guests must be paramount.
He/She will manage all engineering operations for interior/exterior facilities including electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, heating/cooling, structural, ground care and parking areas.
You will be accountable for managing the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation. He/she would be responsible for maintaining regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
• Should have at least 5 years of experience in luxury boutique resort/hotel in Canada.
• Experience in service hospitality/hotel/resort industry is a must
• A university degree in Engineering or similar or Hotel degree is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and train a solid engineering team to work in all seasons
• Must be able to meet the company's technical competencies.
• A good salary package will be offered to the suitable candidate.
• Ensures the facilities are in pristine condition and maintains the look and feel of the facilities.
• Has great style and meticulous attention to detail, is high energy and driven to succeed, self-motivated but able to work with little guidance.
As a Facilities Manager, you are an excellent communicator, leader, and motivator. This position is open to Canadian residents only. The salary range is around $95,000 base plus bonus and outstanding benefits.
