We are currently looking for a MAESTRO PIZZAIOLO to join our dynamic team at TRATTORIA BURNABY RESTAURANT.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
-Prepare fresh pizza dough
-Ensure sanitary cooking conditions and appropriate safe food handling
-Assist in menu development focusing on the classics but also considering innovative -creative ideas that are ahead of the trend
-Assist in cost control, monitoring and ordering of supplies
-Train apprentices to uphold preparation and quality standards at each location
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
-Min 5 years experience in pizza making, preferably in a high volume venue
-FOOD SAFE certification
-Traditional Italian culinary experience and a passion for the craft of pizza making
-Experience with hand tossed fresh pizza dough and showman skills to wow our guests
-Aptitude to train and mentor a team to ensure product quality and consistency
-Ability to deal with high pressure environments
